The grey wire is situated at the edges of the transmission, directly above the flywheel ring. This sensor sends an electrical signal through the grey wire to pin T55/49. The ECU utilizes this information to regulate the amount of fuel and boost. It also sends an indication to the G5 Tachometer located in the instrument cluster.

The sensor is used to correlate the G40 Camshaft position Sensor. The ecu has to know when the crankshaft reached TDC and also where the camshaft lies in order to activate the spark and injectors.

2. Injectors

Yesterday, as i was accelerating off the highway paytoll at a high speed I noticed a significant decrease in power. It was like the engine had run out of gas. Or, my injectors were not firing. This morning i pull out the spark plugs, three were drenched in gazoline, the 4th one was dry. I put tissue over each injector hole, and when I turn the engine on without sparks, the ones with gazoline jump out. The 4th one stays shut. I tried to test the ground connections of ECU pins 14,30 and 48/55. I found 0ohm. I'm assuming that the issue is in another location.

I also tried to reset the PID but with no luck. The car can start if the G28 is unplugged and is running fine when it is connected however it is experiencing intermittent misfires at higher RPM. The temperature sensor for coolant (G62) shows the wrong temp value -49c even when i unplug it. I also noticed that the oil gauge in the cockpit shows 2 bar while the actual pressure is zero.

I'm not certain what to do, as i feel i have pretty much ruled out everything else. I'm afraid i may have missed something. If anyone has suggestions, please let me know! TIA!

3. Fuel Pump
