This bagless automatic vacuums wifi-connected robot has an all-black, utilitarian design. Its price is in line with other high-end smart home robotic vacuums.

You can control the device with the physical Clean & Dock buttons on top and the SharkClean App, or with voice commands via Alexa or Google Assistant. It has a range of smart features, such as home mapping and virtual no-go zones.

Precision home mapping combines 360deg of LiDAR vision with an exact home map that is available in the SharkClean app to enable completely autonomous movement and intelligent object avoidance. It creates a precise map of your space, at night or day and allows for full movement without bumping furniture and other obstructions. This means that your robot can be left to complete a cleaning schedule or you can initiate Matrix clean on demand and set room-specific targets anywhere within the app.

The RV2502AE is a top mid-range robot cleaner that checks all of the boxes. It's simple to use, creates accurate home maps, and features a an emptying bag that self-empties. It is also cheaper to run than other robot vacuums.

It is a plethora of power. It uses its side brushes to move hair and carpet fibers into the brushroll. This avoids the accumulation of dirt and clogging of the brushroll seen on other robotic vacuums and makes this model more effective at picking up pet hair.

It's a great choice for most homes but its navigation capabilities may be a problem for certain. This bump bot was having issues with stairs. Other bump bots are able to avoid them but this one could not. It relied on LiDAR sensors and infrared sensors to map my home however, it kept mistakenly identifying the cat condo as stairs and asked me to move it. It also had a shorter running time than advertised, which was only 180 minutes.

Self-Empty Base

Some robots - like this one - feature self-emptying bases that vacuum or dump the debris in the onboard dust bin into an external dirt bin for easier maintenance. They are referred to as the Clean Base Dirt Disposal by iRobot, Auto Empty Station by Ecovacs or bagless robot sweeper Self Emptying Base by Shark. They are a practical option, but they can also be noisy and messy. They typically require special disposal bags.

This Shark model comes with an HEPA filtering bagless auto empty robot vacuum base. It has a massive capacity. It can accommodate up to 60 days worth of waste and doesn't require emptying on a daily basis as some other models. Shark's incredible suction can handle even the most difficult debris.
