Best Roomba Vacuum Cleaner

If you're looking for a basic robot vacuum without the features that make other models, this is a great option. It does an excellent job of picking up pet hair, cat litter, and Cheerios on hardwood floors and even sucked up sand in my tests.

It quickly maps rooms and provides solid obstacle avoidance. It can be controlled manually using the remote included.

1. iRobot Roomba s9+

The s9+ robot vacuum is the most effective we've ever tested for cleaning carpets and hard floors. It has the strongest suction power of any robotic vacuum cleaner on the market. It also does an excellent job at getting rid of pet hair. It can also be programmed to make multiple passes or adjust the amount of suction based on room size, a feature we haven't seen on other models. Its app allows you to customize how it works and also choose the time when it will begin working, so that you can be present in the room as it moves around.

Smart mapping generates a precise home map to aid the S9+ to navigate efficiently and create routes. It's also self-emptying, so it doesn't require any intervention from you during the clean and it can return to its base and recharge mid-clean (though you may have to hear it rumble back to its dock as it settles down it, which can sound like the sound of a jet engine taking off). In our tests the s9+ blasted around obstacles like tables and power cables with ease and never lost its charge or got stuck. However, it lacks the hazard-avoiding capabilities of newer models and can get tangled up on carpet tassels or other obstacles that are difficult to see.

The s9+ has flat fronts, unlike the majority of circular robots. It also has a squared-off face that makes it easier to reach corners than models with rounded fronts. It's also quieter than the previous iRobot model we tried and is smaller than the Neato Botvac D7. Its price tag isn't inexpensive, but it's still an excellent value for the price given how well it performs and the fact that you won't need to worry about emptying an unclean bin following the use. It's often available for sale during Black Friday, Cyber Monday and Amazon Prime Day.

2. Roomba j7+ from irobot cleaner

The J7+ is among the smartest robot cleaners available. It's equipped with iRobot Genius technology that gives it the ability to recognize obstacles and move around them, meaning that you don't need to worry about it smacking into furniture or walls. It slows down when it approaches an item to gently clean its edges. This is particularly helpful if you have small pets who leave their messes behind.

Another excellent aspect of the j7+ is that it can mop as well as vacuum with the help of a special mopsitter. When it recognizes that you're on a floor that needs to be mopped it will switch to the standard cleaning mode and activates the robot arm with a pad attached. It mops the floor with a light-touch that left my floors feeling and looking like they'd been properly cleaned.

The J7+ recharges itself after it is done cleaning. It then drives back to where it left off, and continues cleaning. It usually runs for 85 minutes, or more or less in my home before having to return to the dock for a recharge. It's not as impressive as the s9+ but nonetheless impressive for a machine which can vacuum and mop.

Like other irobot black friday cleaners, the j7+ detects obstacles in its path and avoids them. It also comes with what iRobot calls Cliff Detect Technology, which prevents it from falling down the stairs. It's an excellent safety feature for families.

The j7+'s onboard bin is quite small, so you'll have to return it to the dock to empty it often in the event that your home is big. The J7+ can be stored easily. The included all-in one Clean Base is an charging dock, and also an external dustbin, as well as an internal bin where the j7+ can deposit dirt.

3. Shark iQ

This robot can vacuum carpets and hard surfaces simultaneously. It also has Matrix Clean Navigation, which utilizes a grid of a matrix to provide whole-home cleaning coverage. The Shark iQ is more expensive than the iRobot Roomba j7+, however, it offers better mapping and app features as well as superior cleaning capabilities on all surface types. It also charges faster and is less likely to get caught on tassels for the rug, which reduces recurring costs. The model is not able to avoid furniture or pet bowls. You need to use physical boundaries strips to shield the model from these items.

4. irobot vacuum and mop Roomba 694"

It can learn your cleaning habits and make a custom schedule. It also works with Google Assistant and Alexa voice assistants, so you can begin cleaning by just speaking. It uses a full suite of sensors to navigate the obstacles that surround your home. A smart bumper cushions the impact of bumping into furniture legs or walls, while four "cliff" sensors on the sides and front let it know when it's nearing a dropoff, such as stairs or a balcony and it can move back from the edge.

This model is a fantastic value in the sub-$300 robotic vacuum category. This model has a three-stage cleaning system that has a dual multi-surface brush to get rid of dirt from carpets or hard floors. A tool for edge-sweeping takes the care of edges and corners. The robot vacuum also comes with numerous features for convenience, including Dirt Detect, which automatically is more active in heavily soiled areas. It can also be manually triggered to clean at certain times, and has an app for remote control.

The iRobot Roomba 694 isn't as sophisticated as the i7, which can self-empty its own dust compartment and doesn't come with a mapping system or the ability to create virtual boundary markers. It's more durable and has lower monthly expenses than the eufy RoboVac G30. It also has a bigger dust bin and charges more quickly.

5. Eufy 11s

The Eufy 11s robotic vacuum is a small but appealing machine that provides a decent value for money. It is able to remove pet hair efficiently and has a large dirt compartment, and can last for a long period on just one charge. However, it's hard to maintain and has issues with navigation. It's not equipped with an app companion to it and voice control, however it does have a user-friendly remote. It doesn't let you know when the bin is full. You'll have to check it regularly.

The eufy is more efficient than the Bobsweep Bob Pro in many ways however, it's not as good as the iRobot Roomba 694 in many other ways. The iRobot is better-built, uses less components that require regular maintenance, has a HEPA filter that can last longer on a single charge and offers better performance on bare floors and carpets with high and low piles. It also has a more sophisticated navigation system that can maneuver around obstacles and has more advanced automation features, such as boundary strips.

Although the eufy remains an excellent choice, I recommend the iRobot Roomba 900 Series for the majority of users. The iRobot is better built, simpler to maintain, has a bigger dustbin, and offers better performance on all surfaces types. It is also faster to charge and has longer battery life.

The eufy robot is superior to the ILIFE a4s but not as good as high-end robots like the Roborock S7 maxV Ultra. The iRobot is more durable and has a larger dust bin and has lower cost-per-use. It also comes with more advanced automation feature, such as boundary stripes and a navigation system that is smarter. The iRobot is also better in sucking up pet hair, and is easier to maintain than the eufy.
