The Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo

The Q Revo is a good option if you're looking to buy a mid-range mop and robot vacuum. It gives a great mopping experience, but it lacks the features that make up its more expensive counterpart.

In tests, it was able to take on dust and dry oats on medium-pile carpet as well as pet hair on hard flooring. It doesn't use LIDAR, however, as cheaper models do, to identify your home.

1. IRobot Roomba S9+

The iRobot Roomba S9+ is one of the most highly-rated robot vacuums. It has impressive cleaning power and numerous features, including the self-emptying dirt container built into its charging base. The robot will learn your cleaning habits, and suggest automated schedules that will give you a truly hands-free cleaning experience.

The setup process is simple thanks to the iRobot Home app that walks you through the procedure. Once everything is connected, you can begin the automatic cleaning functions at the click of the button. You can select the general clean option which focuses on the elimination of larger debris such as cereal and rice. Or you can opt for two thorough mappings to ensure that the entire home is thoroughly cleaned.

This robot vacuum performs well both on bare floors and carpets with low pile. It can remove pet hair and clean large objects up. It doesn't lose its suction as quickly as other robot vacuums. It's not the best time with high-pile or plush carpet, but iRobot says it will get better with the next models.

The S9+ features a new design from iRobot that focuses on enhancing corner and edge cleaning. It's the very first Roomba that uses a flat-fronted D-shaped design. The company hopes this will allow it to fit into walls and furniture. It's a nice change from the hockey puck-like design of most robovacs, though we found it to be only incrementally better than circular models.

iRobot also claims the S9+ comes with an improved filter system that prevents microscopic dust particles and allergens from circulating in your home. We like the claim however, it's not enough to justify a higher price.

Its smart navigation system uses sensors to store the layout of your home and vSLAM to map your interior. This allows it to steer clear of obstacles, such as stairs and other barriers, and to clean up your entire home in the most efficient manner possible. The iRobot Home app lets you manage the robot and plan cleaning times, and establish virtual boundary markers, so it knows to avoid areas that require more attention.

2. Roborock Q Revo

Roborock Q Revo is a robot that combines vacuuming and mopping. Its vac settings are just as efficient as those found on higher-end models, and its mopping system is better still--its spinning pads do a more impressive job of scrubbing your floors than a stationary vibration pad.

The only drawback is that it lacks a second rubber brush for more thorough cleaning, but that's an affordable cost to pay for if you are looking for one of the top robots on the market. The robo-vac's dust tank is also larger than many of its rivals and it takes only two or three cycles to fill it up, even at the highest dirt level.

In terms of the mopping system, I was amazed by its ability to scrub tough dirt off my floors. The two mopping modes that it has, which are less aggressive than the more powerful ones, generate minimal noise, allowing you to work or watch TV without interruption. If it comes across a wall or piece of furniture it gently smacks into it and then moves along.

What really sets the Q Revo apart is that it's designed to operate almost completely autonomously, requiring only a little for user intervention. The dock of the robo-vac has multiple functions and can automatically transfer garbage into a bin hidden. It also washes and dries the clean water tank. The app is capable of nagging you only when something is in need of attention, like the clean water tank running low or a scheduled cleaning session that was cancelled due to a stuffed dust bin.

You can also design and merge rooms to modify the way that Q Revo will treat your home. This is an excellent feature for those who have multiple areas of your home with different flooring materials or there's items that need to be removed regularly, such as toys, clothes, and books. The robo-vac was also one of the best mapping robot vacuum performers in my tests cleaning up debris from carpets and hardwood floors in the first go. It can also vacuum up wet spills however I would recommend drying them with a cloth before sending the robot into.

3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni

The X2 Omni is a premium robot mop and vacuum combo that has all the features you can want. Like the iRobot Roomba S9+, it has an excellent vacuum with a powerful suction that cleans carpets and hard floors, plus a rotating mop that scrubs tough staining. It also comes with an auto-cleaning base station that automatically empties and washes the mop pads, keeping them free of germs and ready to use again. It also has a sensor that recognizes obstacles better which allows it to avoid falling on furniture or other objects.

The biggest improvement over the ECOVACS Deebot X1 is that this version is sleeker and more modern design thanks to Danish firm Jacob Jensen Design (best known for Bang & Olufsen products). While still quite massive--it's nearly two feet in height and depth and weighs nearly four pounds--the robot itself and its base are much less bulky than the Roborock Q Revo or iRobot J7.

This model is more efficient than the X1 since it charges faster and can clean up 1,500 square feet in a single charge. It also has a bigger and more durable dustbin that can hold more debris. This makes it easier to empty.

Additionally it is worth noting that the X2 Omni has a more intuitive app and an assistant voice that works offline, which means you can use it even if you're not home. It also comes with a smart routing function that lets it clean specific areas or rooms of your home, instead of following a predetermined path.

The Omni Omni has the best robot vacuum and mop hybrid mopping performance of any robot we've tested, thanks to its mop pads rotating to clean tough stains away and a motor that generates plenty of downward pressure. Its vacuuming capabilities are excellent too and it increases suction when it detects carpet to ensure it does an excellent job. It is equipped with a large, rechargeable battery that can last up to seven days. The mopping feature of the robot is also powerful.

4. Dreametech L10s Ultra

The Dreametech L10s Ultra robot mop and vacuum is a high-end model that offers a number of features that aren't often found on robots in this price range. It can build detailed floor maps, identify different types of flooring sweep and mop robot is one of the few that can automatically wash and dry its mop pads. These features are great however they can make the L10s more of a class of luxury. This could make it more expensive than what homeowners want.

The L10s Ultra looks like a modern floor cleaning machine. It's tall and slim with a white finish that is complemented by silver elements and mirror plating. The front of the machine is dominated by a large bumper, which protects furniture and the vacuum from damage while moving through the home. In the pane in the front is a second navigation technology in the form of sensors that aid the L10s Ultra maneuver tight corners and avoid obstacles.

On the top of the vacuum, there is a single button which serves as an on/off switch. This button will turn on the vacuum. By pressing it again, you can turn it off and send it back to its base station. The center of the control panel is the circular menu which lets you choose cleaning modes as well as schedules and preferences. The left and right buttons will open the settings of the app where you can alter the way the L10s Ultra interacts with your home.

The L10s Ultra, like the iRobot Roomba S9+ or Roborock Q Revo uses a combination of cameras and LIDAR technology to map out your home. This helps the robot clean and mop efficiently, without getting stuck. The LIDAR assists the robot vacuum to avoid obstacles and identify them and avoid them, which is a great feature for homes with pets or small children.

The L10s Ultra is an efficient vacuum robotic Cleaner and mop, which removes 98.4% debris from our test on hard floors and taking out all but stubborn juice staining. Its mops are efficient, taking away 98.4 percent of the debris that was found on our wood, tile and carpet tests. It wasn't as effective at removing sand from the hard floor or quaker oats from the carpet.
